Let’s not even discuss how much time has passed since the last post, it’s getting old. ^^°
The news is: we’re moving!
I will tell you more about it … or so I hope. But for now just enjoy this silly timelapse of me spending hours unraveling the vines over my bed, some cat appearances and also me getting caught in vines with my hair (I am sure they are trying to sabotage me).
You probably know what the plant canopy looked like before, as it is the header of my blog, but here are some reminders:

It has started quite innocently, as you can see in this photo from 2020, but eventually the whole bedroom became 50% Pothos (and other plants).
Some haven’t made it long, but some have been alive and kicking for 5 years and more. Pothos especially is pretty hard to kill and grows even in low light (although it can get leggy and generally prefers more light). But it is also toxic to cats, so keeping it hanging in hard to reach places was partially for cat protection.
The result of years of hanging vines across the top of walls and ceilings now means that I have 100s of meters of plants to unravel.
Could I just cut all the vines and not bother? Yes. The plants wouldn’t bother. And I do cut some of them, chop them into pieces and put them in water to create MORE PLANTS. But if I would do that with all of them I would accidentally produce a new Pothos forest (because I can’t convince myself to just throw living plant pieces away XD).
So back to unraveling for me. I will try to make more posts about the move, but probably after the move itself, because there’s still so much to do and so little time.

P.S.: Are you wondering whether I will recreate the same bed/plant madness over at the new place? Currently the plan is to put some plants over the bed, but escalate less (I’m saying this now, but we’ll see what it looks like in 5 years or so). If you have SO many of them hanging there it gets really annoying to water them, collect dry leaves and so on. Also we will have some more room to spread plants around, so I hope all the vines will find new places to thrive and don’t ALL have to be over the bed. We’ll see how it turns out.
